It’s been a long time since I wrote my last blog post. I am busy with my power bank retail start-up. I am attending electronics event like World Consumer Electronics Expo (WOCEE) where I met my Energizer and Veger power bank supplier. Since if you are starting a business you need to network and meet possible clients, I am attending seminar and training events. I will share here free events I attended that I think worth your time, so let’s start.
1. Mepf Organization of the Philippines Inc
For engineers who wants free seminar, this is a best place to go after work or during weekend. They offer free seminar and unlimited coffee. If you want a certificate that you attended the seminar you only need to pay P300 pesos for the certificate, that is low cost compares to another seminar. The topics of the seminars they conducted of course related to MEPFS – mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and alarm system. I also attended their solar supplier free seminar, aside from you will met industry practitioner here, you can also learn a lot from them. 2. SMX Convention Center
Most of the big events and expo happens here. They have large rooms and facilities to cater events like conventions. Some of their events and seminar are free and you just need to check if the entry fee is free in the internet. One of the free events I attended here is about investing in stock market, aside from the knowledge you gain from the seminar, some of the seminars also gave freebies to the attendees such as bags and mugs. During our stock market seminar, they gave us free mouse pad. It’s a great way to spend your weekend attending those seminars, you will meet a lot of people also, who knows maybe your next boss for your dream job is attending also. 3. WORLD TRADE CENTER, PASAY
World Consumer Electronics Expo (WOCEE) and SIGN-UP happened here. SIGN-UP is a digital summit event host by GO Negosyo PH where they showcase all digital platform in the Philippines such as Shopee, Lazada, Angkas, Lalamove, G-Cash and many more. They have rooms and division where they held the training and seminar for free during those events. I also attended mentorship program of of Go Negosyo PH, my mentor and I talk about my power bank retail start-up , I learned about his mistakes a lot.
